23rd March, a day with a deep patriotic as well as historical importance, is celebrated every year with all the passion and love for our beloved country. The celebrations are held to honor the 76-year-old memory of the event when Muslim League drafted the political resolution at Minar-e-Pakistan that called for the foundation of an independent State, comprising provinces with the Muslim majority in the Sub-continent on 23rd March 1940.
Annual National celebrations for this very day include Public holiday and the Military Parade commonly held by Joint Inter-services of Pakistan in Islamabad. Pakistan Day Parade features all the three service branches of Pakistan, Army, Navy, Air-Force. The President of Pakistan is usually the Chief Guest, with Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Cabinet ministers, military chiefs of staff, and chairman joint chiefs as other honorable guests of honor. The parade is rehearsed and broadcasted live by the news media in all over the country.
This is the first time in the History of Pakistan that this following year the Pakistan Day Military Parade is going to be accompanied by the Chinese Army Troops and Turkish Band. They will be taking part in the country’s Military Parade sourced by DG ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations), Major General Asif Ghafoor.
